Phew - just back from hockey. It was a lovely sunny morning when we arrived at the field: within twenty minutes the weather had greyed over and a chilly wind swept the pitches.
First the tips of my fingers (gloved) and then my ears (scarved) began to feel the cold. I managed to keep warm by running around with the children and am now safely back in a cosy classroom.
But my cheeks, which bore the brunt of it, are now recovering. Tingling so much they are almost painful!
